James A. Ward, OD
Dr. James Ward attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. He went on to get his Doctor of Optometry at Northeastern Oklahoma State University College of Optometry in Tahlequah, Oklahoma in 1993. Dr. Ward is married and has four children.
Dr. Ward has given numerous presentations and lectures through out Oklahoma, and has authored journal publications. His professional affiliations include the American Optometric Association, the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.
Among Dr. Ward’s honors are the Young Optometrist of the Year for Oklahoma in 2000. He has served as president of the United Way (Okmulgee County Chapter), Okmulgee Lions Club and is also a member of the Bixby Optimist Club.
